Vehicle Description

Here is a beautiful, ultra rare 1959 Cadillac S&S Hearse /Ambulance combination built by The Hess & Eisenhardt Co. This Cadillac started out as a nice clean and complete, original hearse that has recently undergone a complete restoration. This is truly a once in a lifetime find as these '59 hearse's are extremely rare and basically never come available for sale, especially in this kind of condition. These hearse/ambulance combinations were used by small towns that could afford both. This '59 Cadillac was delivered new to the small town of Hermann, Missouri. It was built by the the very best company, The Hess & Eisenhardt Co. who even built the JFK presidential limousines.  No single automotive design better characterizes the industry's late-1950's flamboyance than the 1959 Cadillac, which incorporated totally new styling and those FINS!  If you are a 1959 Cadillac collector or professional car collector this is the holy grail for your collection!!  When have you seen another one for sale????

The list of options as it is currently equipped is as follows:

The VIN is:   59Z016712
The car has a beautiful paint job finished in dark blue and silver. The body is in great condition and is very solid. All the sheet metal appears to be original to this car. The body is very straight and all the body lines and gaps are even in alignment!  The paint was color sanded, buffed and polished to a high luster!  All the chrome and trim was redone at a cost of over $15K and looks amazing. It even has it's original S&S stainless trim down the sides. The glass is all in great condition and all looks new. It is sitting on it's original wheels with brand new tires and original S&S factory hubcaps!
The interior of this Caddy is very nice and all brand new! The dash  has a new dash cap on it and does look very nice.  The gauges are clean and bright and work as they should.  Everything works on the car except the clock and heater. The rear floor can be flipped over for ambulance use or hearse use with the rollers. It does have it's original jump seats and the original divider that goes with the car, but needs to be refinished. It also comes with a brand new hand built $3K casket and vintage stretcher. All the original brackets to mount the stretcher in the car are also included.
Mechanically, this is a super nice running and driving car and it is a Blast to drive!  The original engine and transmission were both freshened up during the restoration. Under the hood is fully detailed to show condition. The front and rear suspension was also rebuilt.  It has a new exhaust system and all the brakes where gone through. This Cadillac is truly a pleasure to drive and should be able to be driven any place you want to go!
The 1959 Cadillac is one of the fastest appreciating and most desirable collector cars in the market today and with it's distinctive and flamboyant fins is generally considered to be the Best of the Best!  The 'Holy Grail" of the '59 Cadillac's is with out a doubt the Hearse and the Ambulance!
