This is a beautiful, restored 1953 Ford Crestline Victoria 2dr ht in excellent condition inside out. This outstanding example is previously from the famous Art Astor Collection and is a pure-bred California car, having been produced at Ford’s Richmond assembly plant just north of the Bay Area. It is a true rust free black plate California car. This beauty is finished in its original Sungate Ivory over Flamingo Red colors, set off by the correct brown and tan vinyl seats. Optional equipment includes deluxe push-button radio, Magic Aire heater/defroster and electric clock. Looking to the exterior you will find full wheel covers with the colorful Keystone logo in the center, a driver’s side combination spotlight and rear view mirror, and a Continental style spare-tire carrier. Showing just 62K miles, believed to be from new, this was one of the most attractive color combinations available from that era, and would be a welcomed showpiece at a number of exhibitions, from the Early V8 Ford Club to AACA participation. This Beautifully restored 1953 Ford Victoria has been meticulously cared for. This car is an absolute must see. It has a beautiful paint job done in its original color of Sungate Ivory over Flamingo Red. The body is solid as a rock and straight as an arrow. All the panel fit is excellent and the car is totally rust free. The chrome and stainless is all in excellent condition and shows beautifully.
The interior is in excellent condition also, finished in the correct brown and tan vinyl. Even the headliner is done in the correct material or even could be original. The trunk was also redone and looks great. Everything is in great working order. The radio and clock are the only things that do not work, but they can be rebuilt.
Mechanically, the engine and transmission run flawlessly! This Ford drives with no issues at all! The original numbers matching flathead V8 motor provides great power to move this little diamond around. The car fires right up and runs as it was new. Driving down the road there are no squeaks or rattles and that's wonderful coming from a 60 plus year old car. Under the hood is all stock and correct and beautifully detailed. All services and regular maintenance have been performed so there will be no surprises! This car truly runs and drives amazing!
All and all, these early Fords are one of the most sought after and rarest classic cars on the market today! This was the last year for the flathead V8 in a ford passenger car and 1953 makes the 50th anniversary of the Ford Motor Company.
